If interviewer asked you this question Aren’t you overqualified for this position?, it means the company/HR/interviewers are interested in you. Just think abou it, they probably alrady know that you are overqualified, but still shortlisted you for this position. WHY? because thay have strong interest in you. So if you are asked this overqualified question in any interview so don't afraid that you would be rejected, instead if you correctly answered this question then can be selected.

As an overqualified candidate, you need to convince the interviewer that how your skills, experience, and quality will benefit the company in the long run. With this question, the interviewer is trying to judge you your long-term plan, commitment, and retention in the company.
It is totally on you to represent yourself as a long-term employee for this company, whatever you will say, it will be showing the sincerity of your commitment to the company. Interviewers want to distinguish between those candidates who are genuinely interested in the role at hand and the ones who are just eager for any type of role and will quickly leave the company if they get the role more in line with his/her experience.

Example:

“I think this could be positive things and benefits for both of us. Because of my good and strong experience in ________________ , I could start to contribute from the day one, Also much faster than others who’d have to be brought along more slowly.
I have done a lot of training and those are valuable for me as well as your company, The value of all the training and years of experience that other companies have invested tens of thousands of dollars to give me. You’d be getting all the value of that without having to pay extra money for it. I can also help you with many things they don’t teach at Harvard Business School. For example... ADD THOSE EXAMPLES. I’m looking to make a long-term commitment in my career now. I’ve had enough of job-hunting and want a permanent spot at this point in my career.
From my side, these are strong benefits, as well. Right now, I want to work, very much, and the position you have here is exactly what I love to do and am best at. I’ll be happy doing this work and that’s what matters most to me, a lot more than money or title. In time, I’ll find many other ways to help this company and in so doing, help myself. I really am looking to make a long-term commitment."
